In the first installment of Rebels Recon, takes you inside Star Wars Rebels’ debut episode, “Spark of Rebellion,” with cast and crew interviews, coverage of the premiere’s L.A. screening, and an exclusive clip from next week’s episode.

At the premiere, Lucasfilm’s Andi Gutierrez spoke with the cast about the experience thus far. “It’s been overwhelmingly positive and wonderful,” Tiya Sircar, voice of Sabine said. Jaime King, actress and longtime fan, says her child was introduced to Star Wars “since he came out of the womb.” Dave Filoni, the show’s executive producer, revealed that he showed “Spark of Rebellion” to George Lucas last week – and he loved it.

In the offices in San Francisco, the show’s creators discuss its development and what they like most about the era of Star Wars Rebels. For Joel Aron, CG supervisor, it’s being chronologically close to A New Hope. Kilian Plunkett, art director, loves working with the Empire.

Also, an episode taking place during the purge or the order 66 would be the coolest thing ever…. Seriously, do it.

Personally I would of liked the show to take place between eps 4/5 or 5/6.
I Think it would be more interesting, maybe if it took place before ep 6 we could see more of Luke training.. But of course Disney wants to make stupid new characters..

Overall i think its a good new start for a new series about one of the most interesting times of the star wars saga. I also love that they used the Mcquarrie designs. So i have good hopes and i think we just have to wait how it develops.
There only are 3 things i don't like about the serie so far,
    1. The 'art helmet' of that girl is waaaay to big.
2 The slingshot, it doesn't make sense in a futuristic setting with blasters. Just give him a blaster on his wrist or something.
3 That wookie child design is ridiculous, i like the mature wookies though.

Any one notice a concept model of Han Solo and Lando on the desk, the left side of the video…arround 4:25 min????

I don't see why people are mad that Clone Wars got cancelled. This finally gives a lot of people what they want. Focused characters and story instead of galaxy hopping and making things so impersonal that most people could never get into it. This is a lot more coherent story telling with more nuances (they're not pulling out the fucking lightsaber every 10 seconds) and the staff that's working on it are big fans of the original series enough to want to make this authentic. Plus Greg Weisman's working on it. Trust in the Weisman. Always.

Don't know if anyone is gonna see this comment but the show is getting better and better throughout the years.I come from the future (2017) to say that Rebels has evolved into something I've never thought it was going to be.

I'm a big fan of Star Wars Rebels, when the series first premiered in October 2014 i didn't really watch the pilot or next episode i just glanced at it. when the 3rd episode came out that's when i really got hooked, i love the series and was sad to hear that it was ending in season 4. The show has definitely bridged the gap between the original Star Wars trilogy, i wish Clone Wars fans would stop hating Rebels and give it a chance. I will miss it soo much. George

I've been re-watching every episode of the show and Rebels Recon before the last half of season 4 comes and the story comes to a close. I'm gonna be so sad to see this show end.
