The first double-episode was a nice change… The Plot was somewhat thin as the TCW one. But the world was full of life and the characters were great. The animated movements and facial expressions were just mind-blowing…The Wookiee-models were somehow cheap and simple. ISB-Agent Kallus is quite a threat…

Rebels has more of a cartoony look to it. Which is a choice I can live with even tho I prefer the Clone Wars look. Character designs on Rebels are definitely less. The wookies for example look horrible on Rebels. I Couldn't believe my eyes, it was like I was watching Transformers Beast Wars.

They probably could have made the Jedi seem more special in the prequels, but it is a lot easier when there are less of them.

This was good, not as good as clone wars.

I was very impressed and everything looked amazing. I'm sure others said it but the Wookiees didn't look drawn very well. I was surprised to see how many Storm Troopers got killed and Kallus kicking his own man to his death was shocking. Made me think this series is going to be more like Clone Wars after all.

why do people hate this show? it felt like the original trilogy the john williams music everything about it. i especially like what Crandall said how theres only 1 jedi and its not going to be an overload

All the marketing for this instantly made me despise it until I watched the pilot! Gone was the shiny surfaces, gone was the wacky humour, Gone was the Disney cheese! Here was silence, here was reflection, here is a new world of John Williams motifs so perfectly placed it brings a tear to even the hairiest of Wookies!

Thanks for the positive review.  I wasn't going to check out this series until you piqued my interest.  I like it so far–good action, nice settings, and characters that aren't annoying.  I like their use of the Force–it's saved for special moments, and I love that Kanan isn't a prequel-style Jedi, but more of a Han Solo-type who has Jedi powers and integrates them into his on-the-fringe life, but sparingly so that he's not noticed by the Empire.

That shot of the Star Destroyer in the first two minutes did give me chills. And I like the inventive ways Kainen uses the force to augment his hand to hand skills.

I was wary of the when first aired but love it. Love Mercy's Lucas impression
