I thought Bo-Katan aged gracefully. You could see the age but it was very regal in a way. And as for shying away from death, a good many Mandolorians not only died but the method of death was horrific. I thoroughly enjoy Rebels and was pleased with the premier.

I don't care about Bo Katan's qualifications, it was a bit underwhelming seeing her becoming mandalore, I think it would have been so much more powerful to give that title to sabine.

I hated Ezra in these episodes.

I thought the voice acting in this episode was really cringy. And the dialogue as well.

Its FINE! She probably has a death flag for a later episode. What bothered me was how everyone reacted to when Sabine was contemplating her mothers death.

Also, I didn't like how Sabine has "full confidence " all of a sudden with Bo Katan.

this episode was dumb. really dumb.

Okay, I LOVED how they introduced the Anti-Mandalorian weapon. And I loved how they brought in Thrawn with this episode too. Very fitting.

For the rest of the Season, I really hope Darth Sidious shows up at some point to confront the Ghost crew regarding the project Stardust.

Might be interesting to do a video on the new clans introduced at the the end of the second episode

I liked that Dee Bradley Baker voiced the Clan Kryze leader with the Jango Fett-esque colored armor. Makes me think more that the "Jango Fett is not Mandalorian!" line from TCW is more along the lines of "He doesn't follow a Mandalorian lifestyle." than "He isn't related to us at all."

We talk a lot about how Kana and Ezra need to die or something. To play devils advocate, maybe Yoda was wrong. Yoda, Mace, and all the other Jedi masters were complete idiots in the prequels. I mean, they had a dark lord of the sith in front of them ALL the time. Maybe he couldn’t detect another Jedi. They couldn’t detect a Sith for decades, and they were around him all the time. How do we know Kanan and Ezra were not in some other part of the galaxy fighting, or hiding? Just throwing that out there.

Same thing crossed my mind – all of the imperials died anyway. I guess they can feel better about it somehow.

Just me or one of the mandalorians in the end of the episode, the one with the helmet, had a clone's voice? could we see some background on boba fett or just have some good old clone wars nostalgia down the line?

  • The Stargazer 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

It's not just that they are afraid to kill off main characters, now it seems they are even afraid to kill off anyone. Even stormtroopers. They now aim to disarm opponents all of a sudden. I got the feeling that the last two seasons they didn't do that, but maybe I'm only noticing it now.

  • Mike Woodward 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

Doesn't Sabine literally say the weapon can't be used against the imperials, then quickly calibrates it to do exactly that?

  • Billy Mays 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

Did anyone else get an Ark of the Covenant vibe when the duchess went after the imperials?

  • arcaneflow 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

It's not dangerously close if your not wearing mandelorian armour

  • TheCommunistDragon[OFFLINE] 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

Okay whenever I see an image of a character from the Clone Wars and that same character in Rebels I SERIOUSLY get pissed, because the TCW's made them look nice and Rebels has a horrible color scheme and the lighting is too damn bright at times. It's really annoying.
The CGI just looks bad now…come on guys…

Something felt off with this episode. Really hated that line where Ezra was more concerned with explaining that he's not in a relationship with Sabine rather than rescuing her father.

  • Chemex_MMG 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

This episode was so disappointing. Not only was the lack of lightsabers actually cutting stormtroopers, but also with Sabines parents, imagine if the show had killed them off, then had Sabine go on a rage of unrestricted rage against the imperials cutting them down, and then breaking down into tears at her own destruction. And then even more have Bo Karan actually challenge Sabine to a duel for the saber seeing her lack of ability, and in the fight Sabine just giving up shattered.

Mean while in the clone wars which is 100 percent a kid show beside teal life political situation beheading betrayal execution electrocution torture corruption dark themes killing everything and killing main characters also clones going insane conspiracy and we'll deaths in every episode ever

Really wasn't a fan of these episodes

  • Ryan Kunz 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

I was really excited when they appeared to kill off Sabine's mother and brother with a machine that she herself designed. Then the emotional weight of that scene was sabotaged with a cheap reveal that—oh, look!—they had miraculously survived after all. I totally agree with your assessment of the scene.

  • goochsurfer 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

Bo Katan looks very different lol and pretty sure she has a horizontal scar now- you serious Star Wars explained? Haha that’s ok, you’re entitled to your opinion obviously

  • Ike theGamer 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

Not the best episode: so much Ezra silliness, cliche macguffins, the lowest stormtrooper accuracy I've ever seen etc. Two things really bother me at the core of it though. How did sabine become an advanced weapon engineer before she was a legal adult? She joined the rebels before 18, she was still at the academy and NO ONE on the planet can figure out her weapon? She's an artist not an engineer I thought.

Secondly I really dislike what they're doing with the mandalorians. It's the jedi=lightsabers this weapon is your life thing. "A mandalorian with a jetpack" "This armor is our whole culture." Just because Boba had those doesn't make them all it means to be mandalorian. Instead of warrior code mercenaries with their own culture the clone wars and new canon have made them into just another race except they like jet packs and cosplay as boba fett.

rebels sucks,i casnt understand why everyone loves it just becouse it has star wars on the cover

  • Anakin Skyobiliviator 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

I don't watch Rebels but popped in this video to see what it's up to. So, a show that won't kill characters off and senselessly kill Imperial troops. *sigh*

  • bobbyvicencio9 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

With that weapon it would be really easy to take over that star destroyer

  • Marco Neves 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

Lately everything focusing on Sabine and the Mandalorians is boring me to death, dudes. Seriously, I much prefer episodes focusing on the Force, Ezra/Kanan/Hera (much more interesting characters). Very weak first 2 episodes, albeit technically and visually pretty.

  • TheRamBoiiii 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

The episodes were sooo rushed. They jumped around way too much, trying to fill in backstory of Mandalorian culture and new/returning character arcs, etc. way too jumpy overall, not enough depth in story-telling, and I think we can all agree the kid-friendly attitude from Season 1 makes a reappearance here. It’s unfortunate that they retrograded back to their old ways, which definitely got more flak from the community than for seasons 2/3. I hope this was an isolated event and we’ll go more in-depth and solemn in future episodes instead of so kid-friendly or happily-ever-after. It is An Old, not a New, Hope.

I think Bo Katan's thinking about Sabine's weapon is totally idiot… I mean: Now you have a weapon able to neutralize imperials only, saving many people's life, your own people included… But no, you prefer to blast everything, risk your life, having causalities… Not even a half-brainless military would think like this. Even the clumsiest imperial officer wouldn't have missed this…

  • Aidan P OHara 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

the show on a whole would be better if it were just kanan and hera with chopper as comic relief.

  • mechaman13 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

I'll bet the Empire used probe droids to get those close-up shots that Tiber uses to show Thrawn what The Duchess is capable of.

  • emarko cizma 18 / 10 / 2017 Reply

Did Sabine just make a GIANT MICROWAVE that only targets Mandalorian sandwiches?
